    foot pain during calve exercises

    Anyone else get that pain that seems like lactic acid in the foot when smoking calves? Taking my shoes off seems to help some what.

    If you talking about the arch of your feet burning like a mother fucker than yeah!!!!

    Use to happen all the time but it started wearing basketball shoes to train in. With the arch support it was a miracle. No more feet problems

    Now I fuck up calves with no problems

    Exactly what I'm talking about. It's brutal sometimes, bad enough to ruin my calve training. I might have to go back to lifting in bball shoes.

    I try to avoid taking d-bol before training (if its exist in my cycle) + add aggregate state of blood regulators (TRENTAL) if these problem becomes intolerable.

    I have seen this to be worse, specifically on standing calve raises as well as donkey calve raises.

    I’ve got 3 pairs of shoes that stay in my bag. I’ve got my chuck Taylor’s mainly for leg day, but I switch to my KD b-ball shoes before I start calves cause they are brutal in those chucks. I have my under armor ones that I left everything else in and do my cardio. Seems to help switching shoes, execept for when I developed these splints in the small bones of my feet a couple years ago.

    Just a thought but you have to be careful with plantar fasciitis. My wife got it from doing calf raises and it took her out for a year. She said it really hurt like hell.
    Since then I've never gone into a deep stretch on calf raises of any kind. Of course, I couldn't grow calves if my life depended on it anyway.

    I had something like this put me down too. I had to get some cortisone shots in my heal. That shit hurts like hell! I have to stretch my tendons really well before calf raises or cardio. Best way to describe it: you have to put one foot back, while standing flat footed, and lean into a deep stretch on that tendon and hold it for about 2 minutes each side. Make sure you have on good shoes and keep yourself still during the stretch (no bouncing around). I haven’t had anymore problems out of it in the last 9 years * knock on wood!
