    2022 is here, letís pray for a happier and healthier year for everyone!

    I finally had my feeding tube removed yesterday! Now, I can start rebuilding my core strength. It was extremely painful to move around with a PEG tube drilled through my abdominal wall. We all know a solid core is everything. I was also able to visit some of my nurses and fellow patients. Lots of hugs, tears, and words of encouragement. My heart is full today, my friends!

    Today was the first workout in my fight to rebuild myself. Mostly bands. I have a cheap multi/home gym pulley station and light dumbbells. Thatís going to be my gainz for a while. Slow and light!

    Chest and shoulders:

    Shoulders:
    Warmed up with bands for a good 30min.

    Red band (lightest band I have) Lateral raises: 4 sets to fail.

    Dark Blue band (medium-ish) Overhead press: 6 sets to fail.

    SS Dumbbell Lat raises w/ front raises: 12lbs 4 sets to fail.

    Chest:
    SS Machine press w/ flys: 3 plates, several sets to failure.

    Light blue band. Low flys: several sets to fail.
    ď ď High flys: ď ď
    ď ď Mid flys: ď ď

    I finished with kind of a warm down. Bands for internal/external rotations and overhead stretches. About 15min.

    I lost a lot of muscle and plain old strength. My shoulders are froze up from not moving them while I was sedated for so long. Stretching and doing my own PT just about everyday. Itíll take a few more weeks to get my ROM strong enough to lift something other than my wifeís dumbbells!

    Iíll post up some before and after Covid pics, for the dramatic effect, another time.
